Without Free Will, humans would be like automatons. The freedom to choose is what makes individuals responsible for their choices, achieving merit for their actions, plus, allows expanded growth of consciousness.
God trusts humanity to make their own choices, while reserving the right to judge those choices. “This was an adopted common ancient concept of liberty, wherein choices are freely made and the results eventually judged by a higher power.”
The devil’s strategy is to limit perceived Free Will by presenting false choices, making it seem as though one is choosing between two options when in reality both are branches of a path leading to destruction
The War in Heaven was a Battle of Wills … Lucifer was not willing to wait millennia for wrongs to be made right; While God the Father treated wrongs as a farmer would regard his crops, demanding patience, attention, nurturing, protection and the Results of Free Will.

Allow to add: Excersing free will may bring us closer to G-d. The implications one accepting a totalitarian meme like communism or I zzlam are clear.
I have noticed some of those involved in the totalitarianism project, at its core, seem to become as if embodying evil, it becomes visible on their body, a particular example is perhaps Sam Altman, gone from young and fresh to almost demonic in appearance on occasion.
